I had the great privilege to attend the Women Coaches Academy at the beginning of June. I was joined by other women coaches from many sports and all three divisions. At the academy we spoke and learned about the elements of coaching that are ubiquitous throughout the NCAA; coaching philosophy, team core values, recruiting ideas, communication strategies, and much more. The other coaches there were just phenomenal and had so much to share and teach.
I can away from the academy rejuvenated and full of new ideas. I am excited to share with the team new mental focus exercises as well as a new model for leadership training. Although these concepts are unrelated to the X's and O's of the game, I believe they are an integral part of our success next year!
